Jaguar XK120

Here is my most recent model (it has been just completed).

It's a Revell kit (old monogram model, dated from 1979 and so the fit of the parts is far from perfect).

Here are some pictures:

Re: Jaguar XK120

Thanks for sharing this model. It's a beautiful build, but especially so for an old Monogram kit. Can you tell us what paint you used for the body and interior?

Re: Jaguar XK120

Wow, congratulations Marco, that looks absolutely spot on. I have an Aoshima XK120 kit in the pile, wonder if it is the same mold as the Revell/Monogram?

Re: Jaguar XK120

Thanks for your kind comments.

The interior was painted mainly with vallejo acrylics (ochre brown, light brown and brown glaze for the shadows).

The body was also painted with vallejo acrylics and is a mix of offwhite, light flesh and metallic medium. It was cleared and polished. The chrome parts were painted with Alclad II Chrome.

Cheers

Re: Jaguar XK120

Yah I agree with the crowd surrounding your fine job, I haven't done any model building myself but from an untrained eye it looks reeaal nice! That's really a classy car. Hard to top those old Jaguars eh?
