97 Tahoe 4door...Best way to get jack it up..
Help me out guys. Im wondering what is the best method to lifting these trucks. Was thinking of adding 3 inch body or suspension lift. What all is included in the lift? And most importantly how much is it gonna set me back? Thanks

A 3" body lift is getting pretty high... the lift spacers will shift around on you a bit, plus a body lift isn't really a lift, it just lets you fit bigger tires without cutting the fenders, the frame stays where it is, so you'll hang up on the same obstacles you do now (except for the slight lift from the bigger tires, probably only and inch or two depending on how much bigfger you go) A suspension lift can be pricey for IFS vehicles, but is the best way to go. Basically there's a bracket that raises the entire front suspension. Also you may need a new front driveshaft, I don't know how long the slip is on those. They aren't really even made to slip because the differential never moves, there's just enough for the movement of the transfer case. You'll also need front and rear shocks. And in anticipation of what someone always seems to say: DO NOT crank the torsion bars to get the front lift
