Manual Trany SWAP... questions..
OK! I have a 1996 saturn SL2, with an automatic transmission. I want to take the auto tranny out, and put a stickshift one in.Questions :
1)how much would it cost me?(the whole job, of replacing the transmission, clutch pedal installation, etc) 2)Is it worth it?(the auto tranny is just fine, and the car has about 103k miles on it) 3)should I get a manual transmission from a junkyard? Thank you!

Re: Manual Trany SWAP... questions..
Unfortunatly the cost for that will vary greatly from shop-to-shop. Your best bet is to call around and see who would be willing to accomplish this and how much they want to do it.

Re: Manual Trany SWAP... questions..
I bet you will find that no shop will take that on for you. WAYY to costly to pay hourly labor for that job. My advice is if you can do it, I think you would be worlds better looking for one with a manual trans in it allready. Im sure it will be cheaper.
