Cool vid. Clean run too, but was that blip at the end palnned, hehe j/k man. That happened to me when I ran a fews ago at the event I did, but it was midway around a tight like 120 degree curve, but luckily I was able to recover it and not knock a single cone.

I'm gonna be running another even this weekend at Norton Airforce Base at San Bernadeno airport (which happens to be where they filmed the "Racewars" scene in F&F... )

I didn't realize that the back came around like that, until I watched the video. Hitting any of those cones in the stop box meant a DNF

Whoa, DNF for knocking a cone out? Isn't the rules the same state to state within the SCCA? Down here at least, if you knock a cone out of the box, it's a 2 second penalty....

Anywho, it's weaird, sometimes you don't realize what you car is doing till you see a video of it.

Well since the course is so small going into the stop box out of control can mean hitting people or curbs. It is a rule for some events because you are supposed to keep your car under control.

Other cones are 2 second penalties.

Oh, hehe, I had to go back and re-read what you said about that in your 2nd post. Ok, so the stop box is where you slow down at, got it. See, I need to get my arse a rulebook. I'll bet that's a universal rule too, good thing the one cone I knocked down at the one I went to was in the acceleration zone just feet from the stop box area. But you guys have to actually stop, or just slow down? The one I did (althougha larger almost one mile long course) we just had to slow down, and didn't actually have to stop till we got to the recorder person to pick up our times. for that particular lap. But Icould see what you mean from the video, that parking lot looked rather tight. I'm gonna try my best to get some video of me running this next weekend, and lots of pics of course, since STS/STX runs first this time, there won't be the sunsetting porblems as you saw in my other pics which made them not come out very well.

Dude that was pretty cool. I can't wait to get my AutoX car done. But I have not even started on it yet. It is a 1971 BMW 2002.

The stop box for that region is an area you have to stop in. So it's up to you if you know your car can stop in that small area (like me) I slam on the brakes in the box. If you know your car can't do it then you better slow down before the finish line

Boy am I glad the courses out here don't have those stop boxes. At least none of the ones that I know of, this weekend's race I'm gonna go to is at San Bernadeno airport in So. Cali, so it should be a NICE wide open course. And you can't beat concrete surface, I seem to favor it more for some reason, although it can be a bit more slippery in certain cases.
