Rattling cat, any fix?
Hi,
I have a cat that rattle probably due to lose elements inside. Don't want to change it right now. Is there any quick fix to this? Like driving a screw in to it to hold the inside in place...? //F |

Have a close look it may be a outside shield rattle. What year and engine and mileage?

No, it's not the shield, did check that. When I bang it with my hand I hear the inside rattle... nothing loose on the outside.Yes, maybe I should leave it for now. Actually it doesn't realy bother me as it's the wife that use the Blazer I have to drive the Renualt Megane /F |

Re: Rattling cat, any fix?
If it is running ok for now just replace when you can.
If you screw anything into it it may break it up more. It is a hard shelled honey comb type cat. Good Luck. MT

Re: Rattling cat, any fix?
I would agree, just leave it alone until you can replace it. Messing with it will only cause more problems
