Dissappointed when they do this on there box photo

New order arrived today and even though the kit is what i wanted i'm very dissappointed with the wheels.
Look what type are on the box....then look what they put inside the kit ...bit of a piss off when they do this.

Ouch!! I had the same experience with a Fujimi Supra. But I think hirofkd pointed out that they put little disclaimers in Japanese saying how there are differences between the box photos and the box contents

Unhappy Yuck!

Why do the do that? Those are some seriously ugly rims. And the ones on the boxart are so good...and Fujimi does make the correct rims. I think they do this to sell more aftermarket wheel sets.

My Evo VIII Monster came w/the correct rims, and they're 18's unlike so many of Fujimi's latest rims.

Fujimi sucks. I checked on 1999.co.jp on those EvoVII kits, and some of the rims come with are not the same as shown on the box, so be careful. But dont be angry, the rims you having are 18" NT-03......i got 2 set of these, look nice anyway

What rims are those on the Evo? Look like Advans?

I quite like those Enkei's, i had some delivered recently and ordered them after seeing on Subway's 360.

the one's on the box are Enkei RP-01's. i think, if you really really wanted them, Fujimi or Aoshima (don't remember which) makes them as a seperate component and you could most likely find them on HLJ or Hobby Search. the one's you got are Enkei NT-03's, which, i agree, aren't the best looking wheels (especially when compared to RP-01's), but they're used quite often on race cars in Japan and are known for their light weight and high durability (because of the weird bar running all the way around the wheel).

There was an article on Sport Compact Car magazine featuring that EVO VII.I have it.The wing on the real car is a carbon fiber wing though.

The wheels.....

Hi primera man,
for my part, it's not a suprise by FUJIMI.......
I just want to say that i chose just the car for the look and after, i adapt some others wheels (AOSHIMA or HOPPIN HYDROS)....because the wheels in the box are really bad....in general.....
Don't be sad.....

Thw rims that came in the box look more JDM, the ones on the box look like somthing you would find on an American car, but I would still want the rims on the box...

i hate when that happens, especially when you are anticipating the boxart rims and you get substitutes.

This puts me off buying Fujimi kits. Unless I've seen them somewhere in AF I'm always wary of how closely the kit will resemble the box art.

How good are Aoshima in this respect? I know Tamiya can be relied upon to make the box art the same as the kit, but are Aoshima as good?
