I have a 94 Camaro LT1! I was wondering if a ls1 or ls6 will bolt up to my car! Some People say no some people say yes! I have looked through other forums and have found nothing on this subject! Somebody please tell me if it's possible to put a ls1 or ls6 in my camaro!

Re: Engine Swap Help!!!

Yes, it will "bolt up", and it should also bolt up to your transmission too. Now the reason it is a pain is that NONE of the wiring harness for the LT will work on the LS and some of the chassis wiring will have to be modded to hook to the LS harness too.

i'm not sure or not, but isn't the crossmember different between the 2? I only ask this because you can put an LT1 in a 3rd gen as is, but need a different crossmember for the LS1.

Yeah, they are different. But you can order a special made crossmember to put it in 3rd gens... Of course, on the 4th gen he is gonna have to hunt down one from a 98+ model and stick it in his 94 and he should be good to go... "should be" lol

Yes, he'll need an adaptor or X member from an LS car but it all will "bolt up"
