Another 90 PA Starting Prob?

Alrighty, my recent posts ask about how when I'd start it would crank but there'd be no fire. At frist it was the camshaft which I replaced, but didn't help. Than other sources led me to believe the crankshaft sensor, which, typical teen driver. I bought it but hadn't got it installed yet. So I go out to start the car and the cranking is going extremely slow, than just dies. Battery is still good, headlights were on and radio came on fine. Which throws me into a pit of A.) Faulty camshaft sensor, B.) replace the crankshaft sensor already. or and my least favortie of the three C.) ICM/Wiring To. So yeah any input would be awesome.

Lots of guess work going on here, first get the battery charged and have/ or check the battery and charging system including cables and grounds, Second, the determination of no spark or injector pulse will lead you the the ign. control module or the crank sensor more likely, will it start spraying carb cleaner into the intake, if so suspect fuel pump or relay ,if not back the the cps or icm. Just don't keep putting parts in, have it/ or check it out properly.

Re: Another 90 PA Starting Prob?

Alright, So I change the crank sensor, the cam sensor, and the start again. It does start when sprayed in the intake. But you can hear the fuel pump working it's magic. The battery is decent. When I move gears around, the transmission control, than try to start it, sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't. Meh It is about time I get a professional to look at it.
Also! The check engine light is still reading as a cam sensor relay fail, So Possibly looking at bad wires?

Bah! I forgot to mention when it is started. When gas is applied fast it stalls. Also if you put it into Drive or reverse and give it gas quick the engine dies. I'm hoping thats a pretty specific hint.

Have you check the fuel pressure at the rail?
