93 voyager trans ground cable
93 Voyager 3.3 engine 4 speed transmission.
Can anyone tell me where the transmission ground cable should be located? I cannot seem to find it. I have a haynes manual but it doesn't show me anything. If anyone had a picture of it that would be great. thanks for all advise |

After looking more for the ground cable I did finally locate a wire coming out of the wiring harness to a transmission bell housing bolt located just above the flywhell cover. (Look around the starter area) QUESTION: Woulld it be a good idea to add a braided ground strap from the transmission to the frame too make sure of good ground??? Thanks |

Re: 93 voyager trans ground cable
The transmission ground wire is a brown/yellow wire. A braided ground from trans to frame would be far less helpful than a clean ground from battery negative to engine and battery negative to body. The engine cradle is isolated from the ground by rubber bushings. You could run a ground from the engine to the firewall too.

I will check and clean the grounds on engine and body. The wire I am speaking of seemed to be solid black. |
