Re: 92 blazer pops out of 2wd
I believe that your '92 is the same as my '91, I push the lever forward for 2wd. Due to a slight misalignment in the linkage the 2wd light isn't always lit, but the truck remains in 2wd. You may have a more severe linkage problem, I would check that first. In fact it should be either in 2wd or 4wd high. Do you have an auto or manual transmission? Do you lose all power to the rear wheels when it pops out?
If necessary you might be able to get home in 4wd high with the front axle pulling if the rear axle isn't getting any power. Good luck. |

Re: 92 blazer pops out of 2wd
what condition are your body/trans mounts in. in my late samurai my body mounts caused the 4x4 shift linkage to clash with the body pushing it out of range. seen a similar problem in a ranger with bad motor mounts. not always the case but easier than tearing down your xfer case
