Re: blower motor relay

Mine quit too.
It's on a circuit board that's installed in the blower box.
You'll find by removing the rad overflow and windshield washer bottles.
I fixed mine. I found that the sealant had eaten a printed wire on the board, so I replaced it with a wire, and soldered it on. I was able to follow where the old foil was.

Re: blower motor relay

1996 and above is as described above---1995 and prior are mounted above HVAC module and not a part of the resistor board...........

Re: blower motor relay

My stepson has a 1994 Astro CS, the relay controls the high on the blower motor, and it is the rectangular relay above the HVAC unit near the heater water valve. My experience was the truck only had medium-high where the low and medium not working was the blower motor resistors. On the issue with the high speed not working, check for continuous power at the red wire of the blower high speed relay, if power is not there go to the far right (standing in front of the truck) fusible link in a weather pack connection that is behind the battery and is just below the fuse box wiring harness and check for power on both sides of link. FYI, these fusible links are fed from the pigtail off of the positive battery cable.
My experience was the metal female part of the spade connector had plastic from the connector getting hot and insulated both metal connectors without burning the link, scraped the plastic out and power was restored to the relay, with the high speed now operational.
