1996 Olds 88 3800 lurching @ acceleration
Hi everyone. I have a problem with my car jumping and stuttering during acceleration. Like the fuel pump is weak. The check engine light has come on and it indicates a problem with the mass air flow sensor. Can anyone give me some pointers on this problem? I did take it out and clean it and it made it a little better for sure but still not good enough to say it is fixed. My dealer wants more than 200.00 for a new one so I don't want to guess at a fix. The car has almost 100,000 miles on it and this is the first check engine condition. Thanks to all. Rick.
