99 C1500 classic
My C1500 Ext. Cab is along the lines of the 98 and later. I hope I am in the right place.
I have a 5.7 in my truck. It is supposed to tow 7000#. I have a 2500+# Trailmanor RV. While trying to tow it through the Ozark portion of I55 in MO my truck started missing badly. I had already replaced (sort of) the cats, installed new Champion plugs and Duraspark wires. A check at an Autozone said I was having "MULTIPLE CYLINDER MISSFIRE". I changed the distribuater cap and rotor with no luck. Could I have a clogged fuel filter or weak fuel pump that is starving the engine or something else? Glenn in TN |

Does it run bad at idle or just under load? If it runs ok at idle, it could be a fuel flow/pressure issue. Get a guage and hook it up to the test port and power brake it.

Re: 99 C1500 classic
Get rid of the champion plugs and put AC plugs in it and maybe get some AC wires
