Tire Sizes on Third Gen

I have 16x8 Iroc wheels.. Of course.. Stock size is 245/50-16. Would 225/50/16's on the front look decent on the rims or would the sidewalls suck in to the thread. Also how wide can i go on the back keep in mind its a 86 Iroc. Im assuming 255/50/16's are probably about the max.

I ran 255's. They did hit the inner fender in the front on sharp turns tho
