94 C1500 Whistling at Intake???
I have a 94 1500 with a new 4.3L and I keep hearing a whistling noise coming from around the intake manifold. I have looked into it and it only happens when I feather the accelerator lightly and quickly. When just idling, it does not do it. I first assumed it was a vacuum leak, but cant seem to locate any vacuum lines off or not plugged. Im hoping that someone else has had this problem and can help me out on a solution. Thanks all.

It is most likley a vacuum leak. Use a can of carb or brake cleaner with the motor running and spray around intake area and throttle body. Should hear a change in rpm's when you find it.

TBI Base gasket was leaking. Used the can of carb cleaner and found it within 5 minutes. Replaced gasket and no more whistling. Thanks Stickman for the help.
