Vr4
I've heard this from two of my friends, one drives 3k gt, the other drives nothing. They both told me I should put a VR 4 in my 3g eclipse. Does it fit, is it any good to put one in?

a VR4 refers to it's origin Viscous Realtime 4 which means the vehicle would be All-wheel Drive and have All-wheel steering. Now, I do not believe it would be beneficial. Now, i'm not sure how dumb your friends are or why you would listen to them since they obviously do not know what they are talking about.
I might also add, that though the 3000GT VR-4 (not the only VR-4 out there) has a similar motor, it IS NOT the same motor, and no it will not bolt up to your current engine mounts. It will require major modification and you'll also have to find a transmission to mount it. You could spend another ton of money and make it AWD and AWS, but why? seriously, you can purchase one of those cars (though it wouldn't be the wisest decision) and then you could have a much nicer car and modifications will have been done before and you can follow in other people's pioneering spirit without having to do hardly any research. Now i would imagine it would be 10x easier to convert the 4cyl one to a VR4 setup, but you would have to source pieces from a galant, plumb steering for the rear, a rear differential and trans out of an EVO most likely, and the whole 9 yards. If you are asking though, you have no idea what you are getting yourself into and you shouldn't do these things. Stick with what other people have done before and though it is disheartening to hear this, but since you most likely have no engineering experience, or ingenuity. Stick with what other people have done before, it will be so much easier. And tell your friends to go read.

skyline R34 300zx 240sx Galant VR4 Prelude SI and their Sister cars all had options for all-wheel steering. iono every once in a while i read extensively
