2003 Mazda Protege5 Radio Removal

Anyone know how to remove the factory install radio in the 2003 Mazda Protege 5. I've bought satillite radio and believe can plug it into the unused MD/tape audio input.

on the protege 3 (for factory head unit), you just take off the little "strips" on the side of the face then put a special U-shaped tool in it.

You might find that you actually can't just plug the satellite radio into the head unit. I looked into adding an aux input into my p5 a while back and ended up getting this.
