VR4 vs stage 1 cobalt

i'm on the freeway, i need some gas..i'm so far on E i dont know if i can make it to my friends house
i see a wrx sti ahead of me in the right lane. so i pull up to him let the bov talk and a all black cobalt pulls up along side of me.
so the cobalt is in the middle and the sti is to the far right
nobody is doing anything so i hit it slightly
and nobody gives chase...well the hell with it what sissy's these days, no wonder we get no racing stories anymore
well the cobalt comes back cmon cobalt make the move. and so he did took my by suprise with a 2 second delay he pulls 3 cars on me and thats were it stays for about 4 seconds and i start pulling him in fast. he shuts it down once i get even with him
well c'mon lets race, if were gonna do it lets do it. so i punch it and he chases this time he has no chance at catching me the lead is slowly but surely getting bigger for me. so i shut down at around 120mph
so he pulls up to the left of me..well i'm gonna end up passing my exit but lets go.....he hits it, this time i'm a little more ready with good 1 second delay i'm on his ass this time its more action as we have to avoid the traffic weaving around other cars though theres not much on the road
4 seconds later i'm even with him about to take the lead and he shuts it down again
so i missed my exit for this and i'm running on fumes
as i get off the exit to turn around and go back a mile he pulls up next to me
him: nice car
me: you too, any mods?
him: stage 1, a friend of mine has a vr4 it runs 12's
me: thats what i'm hoping mine can do(my light turns green) be safe out here
him: yea you too

and off i go to the gas station, i cant beleive i made it. 10 bucks almost gave me 1/4th tank

Re: VR4 vs stage 1 cobalt

As I remember (from my diamante) the 3kgt's have a 19 or 20 gallon tank right? I'm suprised 10 bucks even filled up a 1/4.

Nice race.

Re: VR4 vs stage 1 cobalt

Good kill. I can't afford a sports car right now, cause of the gas prices. Stupid idiots with a Cadillac Escalade and no family to cart around in them screwed it up for all of us. I'm seriously sick of paying over $3.50 a gallon. Luckily the new car gets 33mpg

It has nothing to do with SUVs.

^Stupid SUV's. No really I know they have nothing to do with it.

Sounds like you had fun. Wish I could.

Re: VR4 vs stage 1 cobalt

A cobalt kill! Nice one. I was actually just about to post a kill story of my own. I had some fun with one about 15 minutes ago on the freeway and then around town. It wasn't really much of a race. It had an aftermarket exhaust so I figured "hey it's modded". I think that was probably about it though. It was more like kicking around a kitten. I think we forget how fast our cars get when we mod them because we don't have a frame of reference. I'd go 50% throttle and half to modulate the gas pedal to make sure we'd stay even. Meanwhile the Cobalt SS driver had like white knuckles, he's quick shifting, and redlining it to like a billion RPM's. I'm not cocky though. Humble pie is only a race away. Next time I could pull up to this guy...

Isn't that car disgustingly fast. I could watch that all day!

Ah no shame in that. Was it the latest generation or an older model? Not trying to force you to re-live a bad memory, just curious.
