I purchased a 95 Ford Taurus GL with electric door locks and trunk release. It didn't come with a remote entry transmitter; I figured it was lost and the last owner never replaced it. I brought a new one and after reading the forums, I tryed to program it. There is no Programing connector in the trunk LR OTR PANEL area. I am wandering if it has a remote entry system installed. There is a black box in the trunk that operates the electric door locks and trunk release. If it doesn't; how hard would it be to convert it over to a remote entry system?

Re: Remote Entry System
Electric locks and trunk release have nothing to do with remote entry, I don't know if remote entry was offered on 95's, there was the keyless entry which is not the same.. A remote entry system would not be too hard to hook up in your car, find someone who knows what they're doing..

You'd also have to check to see if it was from Ford or if it was an aftermarket system.
