Re: What Cold Air Intake?

doesnt really matter as long as they are both mandrel bent and locate the filter outside the engine compartment. i find that k&n's gains are more realistic compared to those of aem. just a hint though. u get what u pay for....soo.....

Re: What Cold Air Intake?

AEM is more expensive if you are saying you get what you pay for...

I have a AEM cold air intake, and yes most people will tell you that don't spend $250 on a cold air intake, i remembered that people on here was killing me for spending $250 on a cold air intake, lol, i bet they still remmeber that too... anyways, its just a tube with a cone filter at the end, you can buy a cold air intake from ebay and you will get as much HP as the AEM or K&N, you can make yourself one too and you will get pretty much the same HP as AEM or K&N, but it's the fact of you're buying an brand product instead of a generic product, its like buying something at American Eagle or at Hollister instead of buying clothes at Wal-Mart... lol...

Re: What Cold Air Intake?

K&N is a filter not a cai, cause technically a CAI is the combination of the Pipe and the Filter. lol

Re: What Cold Air Intake?

I didn't say K&N filter is a CAI, K&N does make a CAI for our J-bodies tho...

Re: What Cold Air Intake?

The largest diffrence in the gain you will see from a intake is the filter. If you are going for looks then do a AEM, my fiancee's car has one and it looks really good. If you don't care about looks just power get an ebay intake and then purchase a high quality filter.

Re: What Cold Air Intake?

yeah actually you could get a pos intake if you have a K & N filter it's over Buy a shitty ebay CAI then just go buy a K&N filter, or make sure the ebay one comes with one...

Re: What Cold Air Intake?

Yeah, so basically if you dont wanna spend $250 on a CAI, then go spend $20 on a ebay one and buy a $40 K&N Cone Filter...
