2003 Sable LS cruise control not lit up or working

I bought my 2003 Sable LS Premium a little over a year ago with 10600 miles on it. The steering wheel didn't light up on the right side and the cruise control NEVER worked. I now have 22,000 miles on it and want to sell it. Everything else including the horn works fine. This is the only problem with the car. Is anyone familiar with a fix for this? Thanks.

Where does it read that it is supposed to light up? I have an '05 that I bought new and it has never lit up either

Maybe it's not supposed to light up? The buttons on the left side of the wheel light up, so I figured the right side was busted. The cruise control doesn't work so something must be wrong. I doubt mine came with the buttons for cruise but not actually have it.
