Trunk Lid Torsion Bars Retainer
Is the torsion bar of the trunk lid suppose to be bracketed on the retainer that hangs in the middle of the trunk? My torsion bars are just haning lose away from the retainer stem and if it's suppose to be bolted to it how? I'm a newby here and I have a '94 Camry coupe. Thanks!

There is a retainer there that the bars just snap in to. The retainer is welded to the underside of the rear deck. The bars just snap in to it, similiar to the way spark plug wires snap in to a retainer.
