Question Reverse Indiglo Gauges

I am getting ready to put reverse indiglo gauges on my truck. I am looking for any helpful hints before I start. Anything helpful will be appreciated.

You may want to check into getting it professionally installed.

The reason I said that is it took us 1 1/2 hours to install and the speedomoter needle gets stuck sometimes. It gets stuck at about 35 mph every once and a while, but when you go about 40 it fixes itself. Usually passed 40 it doesn't stick. It's not too bad, but sometimes it can be annoying. We may have to take it in eventually and see what's up.

I've got 5 color white faced gauges. Around 10 shades for each color too. They're really nice and not many people have them.

WATS UP GUYS, I WANT TO BUY THE AC AUTOTECHNIC REVERSE GAUGES, AND I HEARD A LOT OF THINGS ABOUT REPLACING THOSE GAUGES. THE NEEDLE IS SENSITIVE AND YOU MIGHT MESS UP THE WHOLE CALIBRATOR, AND THE THING I AM SOOOOOOOO WORRIED THE MOST IS THAT IF MY NEEDLE MESSES UP, MY WHOLE WARRANTY IS VOIDED. WHERE IN NEW YORK CITY IS A SUPER PROFESSIONAL WHO CAN PUT THE GAUGES AND THE NEW NEEDLES I JUST SAW, SAFE AND SOUND? PLEASE GUYS HELP ME OUT ON THIS ONE. THANKS A LOT

I put the reverse indiglo gauges on my silverado and love them. Before you do anything test out the lights by touching them into the cigarette lighter. I bought the AC lights and they shorted out 2 times before I got a good one. I initially had the same problem with the speedometer and tach. To fix the problem I took the 4 little pins out for the top and bottom of the speedo and tach and used a drill bit to oversize the holes a hair...just a hair though. Also when you put your needles back on, don't push them down as far as they go. As for a electrical source, connect into the purple wire on the dimmer switch on the lighting control panel and then find a good ground.

Re: Reverse Indiglo Gauges

The "two half circles" is just a filler for a place where the trans temp is on the upper model trucks. If you want the trans temp just stick in a Denali or Escalade cluster.

Re: Reverse Indiglo Gauges

I have the towing package, the heavier suspension, and the trans cooler. And for some funny reason you have no reason to worry about the temp unless you get a heavy duty....

Do you know what option code this towing package is in the glovebox? I was told this truck had it by the sales guy when I got it, but I just want to double check it. I have all of the towing hookups (factory), factory lsd. I've never looked for the tranny cooler, but how much beefier is the suspension?

If you have the tow/haul button on your shifter lever, you have the tow package. I can't remember the code or where I put my print out of them, but if you search this forum for "RPO", you should come up with a thread that has a link for the codes. Or you could do a google search for "silverado RPO codes".

I have the tow/haul button but do not have the tow package. I've got a base model V6 sportside, barely has anything.

Well, I guess that's one thing the sales guy wasn't lying about. Is the positraction rear end (G80) standard for the towing package?
