1994 Ranger Dummy
GOT A 94, WATER IS POURING OUT AS FAST AS I POUR IT IN. It is gushing out the water pump. could this be a bad WP, or something else? I thought even if the WP is out, the car can still hold some water. Can someone please help

Re: 1994 Ranger Dummy
Probably need to replace the pump, More than likely it gushing out of the weep hole at bottom of pump. You should be able to look underneath and tell where its coming out at. If you let your truck over heat you'll probably in the least blow a head gasket or worse, Sometimes it won't leak while its running but will build pressure after you shut off engine after its warmed up then it will gush out

Re: 1994 Ranger Dummy
I agree with toddler. Hope it is the water pump cause any other leak coming from around that section of the block could be a lot more serious. Nonetheless, sometimes the water pump goes out because of problems with the fan clutch or fan. On the other hand problems with the pump could also affect the fan clutch. So while you got the pump out, check the fan and the fan clutch very throughly. Also make sure that the belt is not too tight.

Re: 1994 Ranger Dummy
I am pretty sure this year has an automatic tensioner. So tight belt probably not a factor
