Civic vs CRX - All Around

I own a 91 Civic Standard model right now...i've recently been given the opportunity to buy a 90 CRX Si. Trying to gain some input on which i should go with. I am getting the CRX for 1,000$ Canadian. The engine is absolutely shot on it, other than that, its in awesome condition, white, good interior, and exterier.....

Most people have told me to go with the CRX cuz it has a better engine than my civic heh, but that doesn't really apply in this situation. Just wanna know what some of the other significant diferences are that i should consider....

Thank yeah.

Ummm

Depending on the year.....I have a 91 Civic STD HB and a 91 Crx si.....I like the civic better because it hold more people first of all....can make crx 4 seater too....so that cancels that out....the hb is lighter by about 50 lbs for the 91's. So if you were going to do a swap, keep your std civic. Just my 2 cents. peace.

Buy it and use the Hatch as a beater and the CRX as the project.

I would go with the CRX. Think of the options it has that your car doesn't. The interior is alot nicer. The doors, the seats, the cluster (tach), color matched bumpers (I don't think the standard has those). You could buy it (1,000 canadian is really cheap in the US) and install those parts on your STD. If you tried to go out and buy alot of the interior parts and that exterior parts it would total more than the worth of that whole car you are buying. Just my .02 cents. I still love my hatch. But I also love the CRX and the Nissan Skylines.

wtf? what is that...2 people upfront and 2 midgets in back? i'm 5'10 and there is no way i would sit back there, let alone with someone else

crx is a great car but not really practical for daily driving. it's a better as a second car. that is unless your single with no friends

I likes tall women!

But no, seriously... The I've had both cars... CRX in the past and a Civic now...
It all really depends on what you want out of a car.. if you want just something that's just for you, fun to drive, and looks good, go with the CRX.
If you want something that's fun to drive, you can take people with you, still looks good... go with the Civic.

There's almost No difference in the handling of the two as far as cornering and such... engine performance is pretty much the same... it's really all based on how many seats you want, and what you like to look at.

I've had 3 people in the back of my CRX, no joke. Or you can think of it this way, you don't have to give people rides anymore because you don't have enough room "legally". Either way, I would take a CRX over a HB anyday, CRX's are just so much sexier than HB's.
