One more and I'll have my hat trick...

I'll make this short and sweet because I wanna get some sleep..... So I'm on my way to pick up my girlfriend because her friends car broke down..... I take a detour because they are working on a bridge and the one side that's open is all messed up and I didn't wanna bottom out the camaro... So about a half mile down this road there are some RailRoad Tracks and they are kind of like on a hill... like where the tracks go across the road the road rises quite a bit... so normally I'd speed up to get some hang time but for whatever reason i was like nah.... As soon as I get over the tracks I see the little fucker... I mean deer... and it's running right beside my car.. so I say outloud "don't even think about it lil fucker" and at that same moment the deer does a 90 degree turn right infront of my car... and then came the direct hit, right on the emblem... and then came the "thump" that allways makes me laugh... and then came the deer flying about 7' high in the air straight to the left into the ditch.... So i get out and check the deer... it's out cold... I look at the front of my car and see no damage... just the little crack in my hood that was there before from something.... I call 911 and they say I can just go to the police post in the morning and they'll write it up... So that was cool... I get home and look at the car and there are some more cracks in the front clip and by the front turn signal it cracked pretty good from the stress of the front end pushing in... but overall it wasn't bad... so i think i'm going to turn it into the insurance because my front end is kind chiped up and stuff so... yeah....

That sucks, but at least you can laugh about it. Suprised there wasn't any more damage. But that deer got what it deserved. I don't know if it would be worth turning it into insurance though. And why do you have to go to the police? Its just road kill.

Re: One more and I'll have my hat trick...

Well since I only have a $100 dollar deductable and full coverage I'm farther ahead to turn it into the insurance... I'm hoping to get a new front clip out of the deal since it broke pretty decent on the side, is all spider cracked, chiped and I'm sure a few of the plastic mounts inside must be broken a little... Plus for how much my hood cost (got that from the last deer) I'd like it looking new....

Re: One more and I'll have my hat trick...

seems like 4th gens are perfict for hitting deer since its a wedge and they fly right off. atleast you got a cheap deductable to get it fixed. I hate deer though. Some act like squirrels and dart off in random directions and others just stand there and wait for you to hit them. One broadsided me about a year and a half ago when i had my old truck, smashed my drivers side door in and took a shit on all over the place. luckly a friend found it the next day and made jerky out of it. revenge is sweet

Right, I did that with one and it took off into the woods... I went about 50 feet down the road and he came flying back out of the woods and I plastered him... Son of a bitch...

A friend of mine hit a deer in his truck. backed up, hauled it into the bed. then he hung it for 18 days and ate it.

Re: One more and I'll have my hat trick...

You should have taken the deer with you and made it in to jerky. That is if you could fit in in your trunk.

Re: One more and I'll have my hat trick...

my friend's dad owns a huge amount of farmland. it even has some 350 acres of woodland. (he owns part of some 900-acre woodland) which has deer.

basically we drive around in a lifted Chevy diesel, watch with night-vision thinggymajiggies then floor it till we're close enough.
