Ive got a 96 metro 1.0 liter ignition problem

If some one could please give me some insight into this issue im having. I pulled the engine in my 96 metro 3 cyl manual to change the clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearings, and some other misc stuff in the clutch assembly, also fixed some oil leaks, and now Ive got the engine back in, and it won't fire at all. I tested the coil and its in the perfect range, so its not that. 12v going into it in 1 of the wires in the plug, and about 9 in the other. Im not sure if thats normal or why only 9 in the 1 wire and 12 in the other... but there is voltage into it, and the ground is great... I checked the cap, its almost brand new, a few months old, and looks fine yet. I grabbed a wire off my grandmas car that we just took off that worked but wasnt great or anything, and an old plug, and no spark between it at all, in any of them... What could this be? I'm really stumped here... If any one could please help me! My pizza deliver car has been out of comission for the last 2 weeks and I really miss the 40 mpg in town! Some one PLEASE help! Thanks in advance!

Re: Ive got a 96 metro 1.0 liter ignition problem

Thats what my step dad said, So i checked and sure enough I found a set of 2 that I hooked up right away. Still nothing, Only to find out that I had the reverse lights hooked up to the distributor, and the distributor to the reverse lights... not a good mixture, but every other plug is color coded and only will fit into 1 other one, well they made 2 white plugs that happen to be the same and fit the same and put them right next to each other... I guess im retarded for not figuring it out but i didnt even notice there were 2 of the same plugs when i just started plugging stuff in... we fixed it and the control module is fried I think, and it was after 9:00 pm so im gunna get a new one tomorrow and hope to god this works!

check all your fuses first. might just be a bad fuse under the hood or under the dash
