I'm not sure how many of you know about this, but this is a real-life horror about how a 17 year old star of his school is now serving 10 damn years in prison, for receiving a consentual blow-job by a 15 year old girl The prosectution even admits that there was no force or coersion involved whatsoever, and there is a video tape to prove this. And you know what's really f-ed up? If he had actually had sexual intercourse with her, instead of getting his twinkie sucked, it would only have been a misdemeanor, and he would have been out in 12 months. This poor bastard is now a convicted felon and a labelled sex offender for life. Way to go GA...perhaps we need to send troops to your judicial offices instead of to Iraq.

I came across this utterly unbelievable story about Genarlow Wilson only yesterday. I was shocked out of my mind. In this day and age? And that too, here, in the United States of America? This is disgusting, and nothing short of outrageous. That son-of-a-bitch judge should have his balls removed, shot in the eye with a water pistol till his cornea dissolves, and then made to watch every Adam Sandler movie ever made for the next 10 years. I am the last person here who would ever pull out the racist card, but shit, considering a white school teacher got 90 days for having sex with a student, this is nothing short of all out discrimination.

I am extremely passionate about this guy's case, only because I remember when I was 17, and guys, who the hell on here hasnt been in Wilson's shoes back in the day?

Seriously though, the prosecutor and judge should have found a way to reduce the charge on this one. I do believe that there is a line to be about the age of the people involved in this kind of activity. Unfortunately that line is based on the maturity level of the kids involved. If she was coerced into the act then he got what he deserved, but if she had lust in her eyes and knew what her decision was then he didn't get what he deserved.

Perhaps this case can serve as a warning to other kids who are desperate to stick their dick in something wet and warm. Be very very aware of your surroundings and keep your mouth shut.

Maybe the governer will step up and commute the sentence.

I don't think the problem is with the law, it's with the sentencing procedure. Mandatory sentencing is a shameful overstep of the legislative branch into the role of the judiciary.

I think I read it was on appeal. But they can't appeal the sentence, it's mandatory.

They're appealing some technical thing to get him off altogether...something like that.

Monroe County Superior Court Judge Thomas Wilson voided Genarlow Wilson's sentence and dropped it to misdemeanor aggravated child molestation with a 12-month sentence, plus credit for time served. Under the new ruling, he will not be required to register as a sex offender.

While not a complete overturn, it keeps him from having the title sex offender.

Two weeks later and he's still in jail, pending the prosecution's appeal. A Judge canceled the bond hearing. Some speculate that he could be in jail up to an additional year.
