air intake problem .need help pliz?

hey i jus bought a short ram intake for my dodge stealth non turbo,n it was ok but when i hook up my intake sensor plug ma engine starts to stall n smtimes stops so i have to drive without da sensor pluged in ..can u guys help me ..thank you

sounds like you broke the MAS...did you drop it or anything when you had it out? they are very delicate. take it back off and look into it. theres a little resistor lookin thing suspended on a wire, see if the wires are broken or anything.

vaccum hose?i did connect a hose tht went from da intake to da manifold rite next to da throttle body...but tht hose is on every intake system...could there be a leek on it?i checked it out but n put a new hose .

now i jus drive it without da sensor but ma check engine light is now on always

With the MAF unplugged you are in limp mode. The ECU is regulating your injector duty cycle without regard to the amount of air you are taking in. It is using the TPS to "guess" at the amount of fuel you need; usually on the rich side. It will waste more fuel but you will also lose performance. See if anyone from this board that lives close to you, maybe he can lend a hand to narrow down what can be wrong.
