Hottest day of the year so far ...

and the driver's side vents is blowing hot air. The passenger's side is still blowing cold air, so it's not the typical A/C issues (evaporator, A/C clutch, etc.). The same thing happened 2 years ago on the passenger's side, but the car was still under warrenty, the dealer fixed it, so I don't know any of the details.

Can someone send me the instructions on how to fix this, as well as the part number? I have a 2000 V8.

Thanks,
Craig

PS I haven't had the typical issues that other's reported for the 2000, except for the valve gasket issue. The issues I have been having are this, the message buttons below the center vents popped out, driver's side door check broke off, and driver's side window regulator motor burned out. So what atypical thing will break next?

I've posted the steps to enter the diagnostic mode of the HVAC controller. I'd suggest you start there. Search the forum for "HVAC diagnostic" keywords and you should find the steps.

The diagnostics may point you in the right direction.
