95 Isuzu Rodeo Starting Problems
For about the last 8 months, my rodeo has had problems starting. The problem is not constant, but does happen very frequently. I turn the key and only hear a clicking noise coming from the right side of the hood. Sometimes I repeat that many times, and eventually it engages and the engine starts. Then the car runs fine. It always ends up starting --though it just takes a lot of patience.
Is this the starter or could it be anything else? The alternator and battery are both fairly new. The last time I took it to the shop (for this problem), they said the starter was fine. Thanks for your time. |

Re: 95 Isuzu Rodeo Starting Problems
The same thing happened to mine. It was the starter on its last legs. For me, it was worse when the car had been sitting overnight or when weather was very cold.

Re: 95 Isuzu Rodeo Starting Problems
Its happened to me twice. First time was the starter, second time was a loose and corroded negative cable on the battery.
