Smile motor oil

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't 20-w30 heavier than 10-w30? if it is,you don't think it would hurt to run full synthetic 20-w30 motor oil in my 94 cavalier with 2.2 4cyl automatic,do u? If it wouldn't hurt my engine,i'm thinking i could get more gas mileage even if the oil is expensive. I already use full synthetic 10-w30,but i'm thinking i could use something heavier like 20-w30.

Re: motor oil

yes its thicker, way to thick for a 2.2 liter 4 cylinder, it might hurt your engine, it will hurt your oil pump

Smile Re: motor oil

yea, thats what my co-workers were saying! I believe it now! It runs pretty good with the super-tech full synthetic 10-w30 anyways! I remember when I used the conventional oil,it ran like crap!
