97 dodge caravan 4 cyl.starts & just dies

any ideas on my 4 cyl, It starts up but will not idle.When i take my foot off the gas,engine diesdoes the 4 cyl. have a crank position sensor or a cam sensop?and if so,where are they located?I`m not to knowledgeable and would appreciate
it if any of you guys could describe there locations

Have you gone to a parts store that will scan codes for free?? ( autozone-checkers) also check this site it may help: http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker

thought of that,But I am on Maui and they don`t to the checks for free or even a six pack- lol

any other ideas,-buy 1 right?--

Does CEL come on?? Change fuel filter, when was the last tune up? Check & clean connections to Idle Air Control Valve, Idle Speed Actuator, Idle stop Solenoid, Mass Air Flow Sensor. Have you looked at this site: http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker (Autozone.com-repair info-troubleshooting - engine compartment- engine stalls-engine idling) will give you a list of possiblities.
