1990 legend 3.2L engine swap

alright i've got this 90 legend 4dr that i'm trying to get running better. its got the 2.7 liter in it with about 200,000 bagilion miles on it and the transmission finlay went out so i'm pulling the motor and tranny to fix it. heres the catch. i found a 3.2 liter engine and tranny out of a 1992 legend for under 250 bucks. Does ANYONE have any expericene swapping these engines? is it even possible? i'm mostly worried about the wireing harness and the CV joints. please give me some feedback and let me know what you think. hopefully someone who has experience with this.

Re: 1990 legend 3.2L engine swap

I just replaced a 3.2L engine of my 90 Legend. I don't know about doing what you propose. Generally, the mechanics say that you put in exactly what's in it already. I would check out some of the sellers on ebay that sell Japanese engines and ask them via email about compatibility. Sometimes, you can get helpful information that way. Otherwise, I can help you get a japanese imported engine and/or transmission.
