How to get a CV axle out of tranny

How is the cv axle held in the tranny?. What is holding it in and how can i get it out?

Not much info here, how far into the job are you, it must be pryed out from the final drive. After of course the axle is free from the knuckle, full directions, if needed are at autozone.com repair info.

Mine was rather tight the last time I did it, so I used a small shovel to pry it out.
