Stealth vs. Accord

Last night my friend and I decided to race. He has a stock 93 accord ex 5 spd with some sort of F22 motor which we think has 140hp, but its way faster than my other friends F22 with 130 so we really don’t know. But my car is a 91 stealth auto with just an intake and removed intake resonator. So we went from a 30 mph roll which is right at 4-4500rpms for me in 1st. He wasted so much time pulling up next to me so we didn’t get to start until we were a ways down the road but I counted down and we took off. Instantly I pulled about a car to a car and a half lead on him then my car shifted to 2nd at 50, mind you it shifts SO slow into second so he got to my rear bumper and then as he was topping out 2ndI was just starting 2nd he pulled even at 60. He then shifted to 3rd and dropped back slowly until 70 when I started to pull away pretty good but I had to hit the brakes at 80 with about a car length lead to slow down for the sharp turn. We then picked up my other friend who was at the end of the road and got out of there to go talk about it somewhere else. We are going to race again and next time we will start at the very beginning of the road so I will post that race when it happens. That one should end with me a little farther ahead. So that was my fun for last night.

Re: Stealth vs. Accord

Hmmm...I think you should've pulled much harder on him . The F22 motor huh? Is that the Pratt & Whitney F119-PW-100, which is designed for efficient supersonic operation without afterburner, and makes 35,000-pound-thrust?

Yeah i know i pull hard on the top end but the auto 3/S just shift SO SLOW to 2nd and then it does this thing where it gets into 2nd an then the rpms kinda drop and then come back up....like it stops accelerating for almost a second. Idk its a factory defect or something. Thats why most of my races are from about 55 on. And i dont mean the F22 fighter jet engine

Re: Stealth vs. Accord

Those little accords probably run mid 17 second 1/4 mile's, auto Stealth runs probably mid 16's so makes sense.
