2000 Sonata stuck gears

I have a 2000 Sonata V6 auto trans that jerks hard while driving and causes the trany to ride in 3rd gear and does not release. Replaced the input/output sensors and the problem still occurs. This tends to go away and always comes back. Does someone have a fix for this?
