Cool Can't Lock

I HAVE A 2000 OLDSMOBILE SILHOUETTE 75,000 MI.
mY LOCK SWITCHES DON'T WORK . WE HAVE CHANGED FUSES
EVEN CHANGED THE SWITCHES THEMSELVES AND WE CAN NOT UES THE SWITCHES TO LOCK OR UNLOCK THE DOORS.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i need more info were the fuses blown? you can't lock with remote or you can't lock useing switches on which doors?

Hi there

I have the same problem

The door locks in the van do not work.
I can lock or unlock door using remote or key from the outside , but the driver side door lock does not and the passenger door lock only locks

any ideas

the side doors have a set of switches and plates that the switches touch. take a piece of fine emry cloth and shine the brass spots on the plates and the ends of the switches that stick out of the doors. this should let the side doors unlock and lock.as for the front doors you will have to pull the panels off and make sure the connectors to the door locks are clean and tight and no wires are broken or loose. one other thing after you clean the side door switches try to lock them from the inside door switches of the front doors if they won't work the you could have some dirty or bad inside lock switches. the switch holders just pry up to get to the switches. glad to help
