99 caravan chime

OK, here goes....
When I start my van, often after about 5 seconds, there will be one chime sound, then the chime sounds for no reason. All doors are closed, I've checked the switches. After 5 minutes of the car running, the chime stops. There doesn't seem to be any type of problem with the van. It'll do this for a few days, then it's ok for awhile, then it will do it again.
Any help out there?

Greg

Re: 99 caravan chime

Welcome to the forum. I read somewhere the chime is in the Body Control Module better known as the BCM. This gem controls most of the electronics in the van. It gets powered via the IOD fuse in the fuse panel next to the battery. Try pulling it for 2/3 minutes then reinsert it. This might reset your problem.

Could it be the low fuel chime? Keep an eye on the fuel gauge.
