95 park avenue a/c

hi hot, well i got new car, a 95 pa, and the ac worked awesome, nice and cold!! when i bought it. problem was the acc control unit was beeping like crazy, and bout 2 months after i bought the car it quit. now it takes awhile for the ac to come on, and when it does, it starts through the front vents, switching off through the to the top vents, staying there. the control unit DOES NOT work at all. does this mean that the ac is set to automatically work like this once the acc contol dies or is it something else i need to look at tyvm in advance for any help. ps i started new thread, because the old thread was at least 3 months old.

Well, this certainly sounds like the control head has taken a dump! Defrost air flow, is the default mode. The 1995 ACC requires a scanner to retrieve codes, however, if the control unit is DOA, you may not be able to get any codes. I would have it checked anyway. If you get no feedback from the code scan, time for a visit with the local JY for a control head!
