Help. Noise coming from CV joint
Hi guys. I have a question about my 97 Corolla. If I jack it up and spin the drivers rotor, I can hear what sounds like a piece of metal rolling around inside the CV boot. How hard is it to remove the shaft and check it out? Everything feels tight. There are no clunks, no wobble in the shaft etc. Can I buy a new boot and clamps if I open it up?
Thanks for any help you can give!! |

Re: Help. Noise coming from CV joint
The best way is to remove the half shaft (thats what it is called), and trade it in for a rebuilt one. That way you get new CV joints, and boots. Have done this on other vehicles, takes a little work, but then your good for a long time.
