Poor Throtle Response
I've got a 97 SC2, when I step on it, nothing happens at first, but after a few minutes the RPM's go way up to about 6,500 or 7,000 then the car picks up speed. How can I fix that?

Re: Poor Throtle Response
I had an Audi 90 which this happened to, the Audi would drop when it started cold I would begin to drive then the RPMs would drop to about 500 and after a minute of that nonsense it would go to normal idle. Then it had a real bad hesitation up to 3500 or higher. What I did was sold it to a kid and said it had a slight hesitation.

Re: Poor Throtle Response
Stick208.. You must be practicing to be a used car dealer..thanks for the no help post. Saturn, need a little more info about the problem..The car used to have a problem with broken and collapsed rings. Pull the sparkpulgs and see what they look like, if they are covered with oil, run a compression check. This could also cause problems with the cat convertor.

Re: Poor Throtle Response
Hey Im just kidding, i have an SC2 and mine wouldnt go higher than 3300. doing a back pressure test figured a cat was plugged. there are 2 cats, 1 from the header (mini oxidizing cat) and the second is the normal. my mini cat was broken and jammed in the pipe, so check the exhaust for leaks because that could be a major power loss if big enough
