96 Sebring Conv. won't start, will jump
My problem appears to be a short. Car seemed fine but before it quit starting it was making that seat belt ding ding at inappropriate times and that noise, when the doors lock themselves, was also happening. I spent half of my rent for a mechanic to say the trunk light was staying on and that he fixed it ...3 days later and it has quit again. Help, please, I have no idea what to do. Thank you

Re: 96 Sebring Conv. won't start, will jump
Let' try this. You might get a some feedback on this but I will say I have been a tech for 23 years. The better part of those years I have spent in wiring/electrical problems. Sounds like you have a draw, or at least an intermintent draw. You need a test light and some patience. Disconnect the +Bat. Hook 1 end of test light to cable the other to bat. If it lights up you have a draw. It might light up REAL dim and thats ok. ONLY if it's really dim. If it is bright you have a draw. Make sure you don't have a door open, a hood light ( if you do, disconnect it) key on or any thing dumb. If it is bright, start pulling fuses one at a time. When the light goes out you found the draw.
