What To Use To Black Out The Bumper Lens???

I have a black 2002 G20. I might wanna black out the bumper lens rather than get the clear bumper lens for 90 bucks a pair. I saw a picture on this forum under general and Tony's black G20 looks incredibly dope. So I was thinking blacking out my bumper lens.

What do you use to black out the bumper lens??? Anyone know?

Advice to you with black P11s....dude man black it out. Looks sooo bad ass

To see the results in real life I used black electrical tape.....looked awsome.....very clean.....this weekend or until I get my next oil change I will pick up some window tint and try that.....TY423 used some smoke spray from his local hobby shop and then finished with a clear coat.....if you care for the light I would suggest the window tint......it's up to you.....let me know what your going to deside on....

I was maybe thinking having a place paint it the "black obsidian" color for me cuz my car is that color. I don't know how it'll turn out on that plastic but ... I was thinking maybe to do that. Window tint sounds good too but it would have to be really really dark window tint no?

Isn't window tint a film...it'd be kinda hard to completely cover it with the film. Do you think they'd sell the smoke spray at something like a Discount Auto Parts or something cuz I don't see any hobby shop around where I live.

I saw that tint spray crap in Kragen auto parts store, so you will be able to pick it up there!
Becarfull when using drip marks are very easy to do on this spray stuff! Then one I saw was called spray tint it had a yellow porsche in the front with dar windows.
I belive they were going for $4.99

I have also seen it at fleamarkets.

If you spray or tint the lens, will the real color pass through and show just like theres nothing covering it?

Also, the best spray to get if you want to smoke it is the one with all the japanese writing. It comes packaged in red and black.

The thing I'm worried about is that the rest of the car is shiny and then this one part is going to be dull black ... sooo ... that smoke spray thing you mentioned can I get that at Autozone or Indyautoparts or Pepboys or something or does it have to be an aftermarket store???

After you black it out, you spray on a glossy coat to it so that it won't have that dull look.

Oh yeh about the light shinging through at night...if its blacked out I would just pull the bubls out so they don't go on...hahhahaha easy solution I believe.

So where would I get this smoke spray and this glossy spray?

you will only find the smoke spray in aftermarket vendors. The glossy coat stuff would be at a Crafts store such as Michael's. Pep boy's could possibly have it but i doubt it.

so you would rather have no light in your front bumper and get hit by a car while trying to get out of a driveway......thats what that light is for.......so cars can see your front end creeping out of a driveway.....its a saftey precaution.....

Thats what I was affraid of but I think I should just take extra caution in such situations as coming out of a driveway behind a bush or something...
