98 Civic HX Intake Help!

I need some advice. I need an intake for my 98 Civic HX. I want an easy install with the best performance (Don't we all?) Give me your feedback. I ordered an AEM Cold Air but I want the right product with the best install.

I have an AEM CAI. I have an EX, I think it made a little difference, it sounds pretty cool and is pretty easy to install. Not as easy as a short ram, but neither are hard to install. I have never had any problems with mine of sucking water up or anything, but a friend of mine has. He didnt have his innerfender in and was driving in deep rain. It sucked up water and bent a rod. I would suggest keeping the innerfender in.

Im not sure how much of a difference it made cause I did a couple of mods at the same time. I wish I would have done one at a time now, just to see if it was worth it or not.

I would say with a HX, just go to ebay and get one for $60 Unless you are big on Name Brands.

I say go with AEM. Just because of the sounds you'll get. And it gives good horsepower.

Correct me if I am wrong. But an intake sounds the same, no matter what brand you use. The difference is in a short stack intake, or a CAI.

The Aem CAI are a bit Louder and deeper than the Injen CAI :right:
