What type of coilovers are you talking about..
Are you talking about the true coilovers or coilover conversion kits (like skunk and Ground Control) I have Koni(yellows) with Skunk coilover kit. They are stiff and getting a little bouncey.

Two of the best balanced kits
1.)Bilstein/Nuespeed coilovers ![]() 2.)Progress Coilovers ![]() I have the 1 one, very good ride. great handling. The elite set-up is by Tein, but very expensive. ![]() very stiff! what is your goal and how much can you spend?

Ground Control
I have a set of ground controls w/o shocks on my '99 civic ex and the ride is still great. I am playing to go with koni yellows when the stock shocks blow. I am VERY satisfied with the ride on my GC coilovers i would definetely recommend them

I have the Koni true coilovers on my car and I love the handling and ride now. It's dropped approx 50mm (2 inches) now. Each shock can be adjusted for how soft or firm you want the ride.

actually, when it's designed properly it's the same thing. the main thing is matching the spring rates properly, which most companies fail to do. keep in mind that it's very rare that the sleeve itself is a major problem with a conversion kit's design... it's the spring itself. Ground Control is a very efficient, durable, and worthy design. when teamed with a good strut, the system works just as well as any average true coilover setup. GC technicians will also set you up with the proper spring rates for the purpose the kit is going to be used for and the strut it will be used with. |

I have GC's on my '99 civic but what is the best combination struts to use with these? I heard Koni Yellows, or Tokiko's...? Any have a Ground Control setup? |

the tokico's are the worst struts to use with coilovers....the Koni's are the best, and of course the most expensive...for the buck, AGX are great struts
I personally have the H&R coilovers and they are excellent...I also like the progress comp coilovers...the ride is a little better with the progress but I don't really have a good set of tires to compare the handling part.....I had the GC and I really didn't like em that much |
