Exclamation Listen to my engine

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSZ8OK1sIS0

Here is a video of my engine, you can hear a raspy rattling/grinding when I rev it up to 1000-1500 RPM, ever heard that before? More details on youtube, but don't reply there, reply here. The sound might not be so loud, you might want to turn up your volume a bit.

Thanks

Re: Listen to my engine

Buy a stethoscope and see if your power steering pump or alternator is making the noise. Those will be obvious with a stethoscope. You will even be able to tell which bearing in the unit is bad.

If the sound is internal to the engine, near the fan belt area, then it is likely to be the water pump. Less likely, one of the timing belt idler pulleys.
