98 s10 slipping or missing when hot
I have a 1998 s10 4.3L extended cab. 165.000 miles. after driving for 10 -15 minutes and the engine is hot, from a stop I have what feels like a transmission slip or miss when taking off. after 2-3 it disappears and all is normal. Only from a dead stop does this occur. Hiway driving OK and engines idles fine. Help me!! don't have alot of money

Re: 98 s10 slipping or missing when hot
You need to separate the engine miss from a transmission slip.
Any check engine lights? How is the tune up. How is the transmission fluid level and fluid? A engine has to be running good for the transmission to work right.

What kind of transmission service? what kind of fluid was used? A good scanner will show up any engine running and or transmission problems. Any check engine lights?
