I think I forgot to mention on that other post about cleaning the S-E-M switch. I'll try to find the instructions...hold on...

Re: !! Bmw 735i problems need help?????

Here it is:
http://www.nmia.com/~dgnrg/page_13.htm

You'll have to scroll down a bit to the part in bold where it says "A/M switch". Different switch in the pics, but the principle remains the same.

These tiny steps have been known to cure a problem like this. If this doesn't solve it, you might have to replace your transmission ECU. It might be going south. I can't remember where, but I remember a fix for it somewhere you can try...I'll try to find it. It might have been an LKM fix (Light Control Module), but if I remember correctly, I'll find it.

If not, you can try to swap out tranny ECU's with a known working one. This problem might also be the cause of a failed valve body. I'll see what info I can dig up for ya online.

Re: !! Bmw 735i problems need help?????

hey lincolnmaster ive cleaned the switch very well when i first took the gearbox (trannie) apart ive also cleaned everything else to perfection and the trans fluid is nearly perfect but i still have no luck i suppose im going to have to buy a new gearbox or weigh it in (scrap) but i think its too good for that
