Cruise Control not working in 84 Z

Hey yall, about 6 months ago i was changing my OPS and my rachet hit something and it created a spark. Well i know my cruise control worker before that but i never tried it again for a couple weeks. And so maybe a couple week after that, i tried my CC and it didnt work. I assume it may have been that spark causing my CC not to work. But it may not be that.

Are there any steps that i can go through to check my CC system step by step to pinpoint the problem ?? I really want my 84 Z28 to be in good working order everywhere. any help is much appreciated. thanks alot you guys.
